If your lecturer enabled Turnitin on an assignment, your work will be uploaded to Turnitin when you upload your assignment.

Submitting an assignment

To submit to an assignment that uses Turnitin, complete the following steps:

  1. On your Canvas module, click the Assignments tab.
  2. Click the name of the assignment.
  3. To submit your assignment, click Start Assignment. 
  4. Upload your assignment file. 
  5. Check the box to agree to Turnitin's End-User License Agreement.
  6. Click Submit assignment. Depending on the assignment settings set up by your instructor, you may be able to view your Turnitin Similarity Report straight away (after it's processed) or at a later point.
