To access Canvas or Zoom using your new @mymtu.ie account (instead of the old @mycit.ie login) for the first time, you will need to follow a simple process of resetting the password.
To do this, simply:
1. Access http://cit.instructure.com/ in your browser
2. Enter your R#@mymtu.ie
email address (e..g R0001234@mymtu.ie)
and click "Next"
3. Click on "Forgotten my
password"
4. Fill in the captcha that appears
and click "Next"
5. You will be asked to verify by
either a 6 digit SMS/ Text or a phone
call with a 6 digit code. We recommend
the SMS/ Text option
6. Once you click "Finish",
On the next screen, you'll be asked to
enter the code you have been
sent
7. On the next screen, you
will be asked to update your
password
8. Your password for your
@mymtu.ie account should now be
updated. You will be asked to use Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) when you want to login to Canvas or Zoom via receiving a text or phone call and inputting a 6 digit code.
