You can view a Canvas login QR code in your Canvas web browser. You can scan this QR code with your mobile device to log in to the Canvas Student app without entering your institution URL and user credentials.
Open QR Code
From the browser version of Canvas in Global Navigation, click Account, then click QR Code for Mobile Login.
View QR Code
Click Proceed. View your QR code.
Note: Mobile login QR codes expire 10 minutes after they are generated.
On your smartphone, open the Canvas Student app.
Tap QR Code. Tap NEXT.
If this is your first time using the camera in canvas you may receive a pop-up notification asking for permission to use your camera. Tap Okay to activate the camera and point the camera at the QR code on your computer's screen.
Note: The camera should pick up the QR code and log you in almost immediately.
