To access Canvas, complete the following steps:

  1. Go to http://cit.instructure.com
  2. Enter your student number followed by @mymtu.ie (eg. R00123456@mymtu.ie) in the Sign in field. Click Next.
  3. Enter your password in the password field. Click Sign in.
  4. You may be sent a text with a verification code to verify your account. Enter the verification code and click Next.

If you cannot log in, try these options:.
  1. Check that you have the correct username and password. The first time you log onto Canvas with your mymtu.ie login, you will be asked to reset your password. You will then be sent a pin number to your mobile phone. See here for more information. If you have any issues, email servicedesk@mtu.ie with the phrase 'MFA' in the subject line.
  2. Check that you have registered for thecurrent academic year with Admissions. All information concerning registration for the academic session is posted on the Registration Website (Links to an external site.)
