For sitting the Exam
You have the ID you used in setting up your examity ID ready
You have pen and paper to write on
Technical Setup
You should be using a laptop or desktop computer (you cannot use your phone or tablet)
You should be using the Google Chrome browser.
You should disable your pop-up blocker (examity may need to show you some pop-ups)
You will need to have the following ready and working:
Built-in or external webcam
Built-in or external microphone
Built-in or external speakers
You should make sure that your internet connection is as strong as it can be (ask everyone else not to use the internet while you are taking the exam)
1. On the
day of the exam, when you
are due to begin your
exam, click on “Step
2: ** Start your proctored Exam here at
the allotted time
**” on the home
page or “Units”
section.
2. This will
take you to the dashboard
for examity, the exams
which have been scheduled
for you will appear
here.
3. Select
the exam that you are due
to begin and press the
“Connect to Proctor"
button. From
here, examity will check
to make sure that you are
meeting the technical
requirements by checking
your webcam, microphone,
OS, browser and internet
speed. Click on the yellow
“Next” button to
proceed

5. When this
is added, you will be
returned to the Examity
system, where you can
press the yellow “Next”
button (this extension is
deleted at the end of
every exam, so you will
need to complete this step
every time you take an
examity
exam.)
6. You must
then take a photograph of
your face. To do
this:
- A pop-up will
appear to give Examity
access to your camera,
please select
“Allow.”
- Move your
webcam so that you can
take a photograph of
your face, then press
“Take picture”. You
can then press “Use
photo”

Hold up your ID to your webcam
Move your webcam so that you can take a photograph of the ID
Press “Take picture”.
You can then press “Accept ID”

- You should
type in all lowercase
- no capitals - and
with no
spaces
- You should
type your name the
same way it appears in
canvas
