You may be asked to download your digital badge and submit it as evidence of course completion in Canvas. Parchment badge no longer allow users to download their badge as an image file, this is largely because metadata is added to a badge every time it's earner (e.g. who the badge was awarded to, date the badge was awarded, criteria for earning the badge, etc.).

You can, however, add a link to the public version of your digital badge and/or add a screenshot of that public page to submit as evidence.

Step 1: Find you digital badge in Parchment

Your earned badges are available in your Parchment account at: https://badges.parchment.eu/backpack/badges

Please find some guidance on locating your setting up a parchment account at the following link: View your earned digital badge or create a Parchment account to view Canvas badges

Step 2: Find the public link page for your badge

When you have located your digital badge in your Parchment account, click on the badge title to open the badge details. In this page you will see an option to (1) View public page, (2) Share, and (3) Print the badge or save it as a PDF.

(1) Underneath the badge name you should see a link to View Public Page. Click this to open the public page for your earned badge. You can copy this URL and paste it into your Canvas submission if URL is available or add it as a comment in the Canvas submission area.

You can also take a screenshot of this public page as it will show your details and the date you earned the badge. This screenshot could be submitted as an image file to the Canvas submission area.

The screenshot below shows the location of the public page link (1) and the share button (2):
